We don’t know about you but we are SO ready for summer holiday! It’s time to switch off, recharge, reset and make memories.
Once you have your all important LC Flight Fit sorted, it’s time to start thinking about what you can do to help you feel and look fresh after that long flight. Here are some tips we will be following for our summer travels:
Go Makeup Free
Because who can be bothered putting make up on when your alarm goes off at 1am for your flight? Makeup clogging your skin and pores just makes the already unpleasant airplane air worse for your skin. We recommend you take some good cleansing wipes and an oil-free moisturiser to keep your skin feeling fresh, hydrated and nourished throughout your journey.
Wear your SPF
SPF should already be part of your daily routine. You are not immune to the sun's dangerous UV radiation just because you are in an aircraft. Being at a high altitude increases your risk of sun damage because, first, you are nearer the sun and, second, the thinner air at higher elevations makes it easier for damaging rays to penetrate your skin. Add another layer before you land and you are good to go when you touch down in your destination.
Take a good book
A good book always helps to pass the time during the flight. We are loving Manifest by Roxie Nafusi – a must for your summer reading list!
Don’t connect to Wifi
Enjoy the wifi free time. Time spent with no notifications and scrolling is good for the soul and the perfect way to switch off and kick starting your vacation.
Eat & Drink
Try to avoid the salty food and sugar-filled drinks served during the trip since they can leave you feeling dehydrated and puffy. Drink lots of water and avoid coffee. It will make that Iced Latte on arrival all the more sweeter.
